Try Hockey For Free

TYH is offering Try Hockey For Free, a three day program for boys and girls who wish to experience the game of hockey and learn some basic skating, shooting, and puck handling skills with quality coaching instruction.  The free sessions will be held in October at the Onalaska Omni Center

Try Hockey For Free will offer two sessions, each consisting of three 50-minute on-ice instruction periods. Space is limited to 30 children per session; participants must be 4 years old by December 31.

 
Equipment and skates will be available to use at no cost.
 
Session 1:Session 2:
Sept. 30, 4-5 p.m. Sept. 30, 6-7 p.m.
Oct. 1, 6-6:50 p.m. Oct. 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Oct. 3, 6-7 p.m. Oct. 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

If you choose to join TYH after your 3-evening session, you’ll register online. You will have the option to register for the full New Mite season (Nov-Feb. 3) or the Learn to Skate program that focuses on the fundamentals of skating (Nov-Dec). All registration details will be shared during your Try Hockey For Free session.
 

Learn To Skate Program

If you’re looking for basic skating skills for your skater (and a shorter season), our Learn to Skate program is for you.

Our Learn to Skate program focuses on those taking their early steps on the ice. All your skater needs is a helmet and skates! Our Learn to Skate participants will join certified Learn to Skate USA instructors November-December.
